The villages around Dharmasthali and Padagattam are the temple town, which is surrounded by Siddhavanam forest. Dharmasthali and Padaghattam are interconnected by their values and belief in Goddess Gattamma. Dharmasthali is under the oppressive rule of Basavar, the chairman of the local municipality.

He wants to give the land of Dharmasthali and Padagattam to Rathod and his brother for mining purposes. The people of Padghatam, who are known for their expertise in Ayurvedic medicine, started coming to Dharmasthali less frequently due to the cruel rule of Basav.

Acharya Naxal came to the temple in the guise of a carpenter. He started taking revenge on the villagers to get rid of Basav's oppression. It is revealed that Acharya came to the temple to fulfill the promise of his best friend Siddha, where he reveals Siddha's past and origins to the villagers of Dharmasthali.
